We worked with Apollo to implement a secure and scalable Desktop-as-a-Service solution.

Apollo Accountancy Solutions is an accounting firm located in Visalia, CA. Their team offers certified public accounting and financial advisory services.

When we connected with Apollo, they were looking for a major change. Their employees did not have a streamlined way to access and share company data. Their methods inhibited collaboration, left them vulnerable to data loss, and would not scale with the growing firm. They needed a scalable, secure solution to support their employee’s productivity and maximize growth, not stifle it. Once connected with JetSweep, we provided AWS expert advice and delivered a solution that fit their remote working needs.

After an initial Proof of Concept (POC), Apollo chose JetSweep, an Advanced AWS Partner. We designed a scalable solution that improved security and provided accessible storage.

Our team crafted a solution using multiple AWS services to maximize performance, security, and scalability while optimizing cost. First, we deployed a Windows EC2 Instance as a file server to create a secure home for their accounting software and all other company data. To boost scalability for their growing team, we introduced Apollo to Amazon Workspaces– a managed, cloud-based, Desktop-as-a-Service solution. We recommended Workspaces for its cost-effective scaling capabilities. Amazon Workspaces enables the provision of new workspaces for employees in a matter of minutes, with the option to pay hourly or monthly.

We also took security and data integrity into account. We deployed Amazon Workspaces within the Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), an encrypted software that allows for remote employee access. We leveraged the AWS Backup Service to provide Apollo with file server backups that protect them in the case of a data disaster.

Since implementing our solution, Apollo has increased security on multiple fronts. Their team can work and collaborate from anywhere, with a consistent desktop experience. Their AWS environment is ready to grow with them in the coming years.
